Is it possible to save your friend?

Not too many people know how to save your friend at the end of draw a stick man:epic 2.I noticed that at the final level,you fight your friend and rescue the townspeople with keys,and under "your friend",there are the puzzle pieces you collected.Also,after the credits,the quest changes to,"the guest to SAVE (your friend),so it might be possible to save "your friend" if you collect all the puzzle pieces

Ohhhhhhh clint_waters! Is there other references in the game besides the endless hallways like the ones in super Mario 64? Is there any easter eggs? Don't if you spoil the game because 1, I already have the game and 2, I don't mind spoilers.

Get all of the puzzle pieces. When your friend falls, he gets printed on the heart.
